Lincoln is survived by his wife,
Cecilia; son, Wes ( Julie), daughter
Stacey (Brian); and ten grandchildren,
Kyle (Michelle) Henderson,
Courteney Sheely, Andrew
Henderson, Lynnsey Sheely, Connor
Henderson, Spencer Henderson, Lexi
Sheely, Christian Henderson, Reganne
Sheely and Ian Henderson. He is also
survived by his brothers, Jerry (Marge)
and Greg (Barbara).
While his wife, children, grandchildren and friends
were his focus and passion in his life, Mr. Henderson
was one of the original pioneers of the premium
bourbon and whiskey categories in the U.S. and an
inaugural member of the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of
Fame. He had a nearly 40-year career with Brown
Forman, and came out of retirement in 2004 to create
Angel's Envy with his son, which has become
a critically-acclaimed bourbon, and the culmination
of his storied career. He was a graduate of the
University of Louisville, Webster University and a
United States Army Reserve Veteran.
Visitation was held at Northeast Christian
Church, 990 Star Shoot Parkway in Lexington,
Kentucky on Sunday, September 15, 2013 and
Monday, September 16th with funeral that followed.
Services were conducted by Rev. Monte Wilkinson.
The family requests expressions of sympathy in
lieu of flowers be made to the Northeast Christian
Church to support the various outreach ministries
in which Lincoln was an active part. Online condolences
