Bernard "Bernie" Burch O'Bryan Jr., 86, of
Crestwood, passed away September 8,
Bernard was a United States World
War II veteran who served in the
U.S Marine Corps. He was a retired
industrial engineer and realtor. He was
a member of Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church, American Legion
Post 39 and the Oldham County Fair
Board. He was also a former Boy
Scout Leader for many years and a friend of Dr. Bob
for 28 years.
Bernard is survived by his loving wife of 65 years,
Shirley O'Bryan; daughter, Shirley Smith (Larry);
son, Bernard O'Bryan III (Pam); sister, Mary Evelyn
Knoop ( Jim); brother, George O'Bryan ( Joy); grandchildren,
Jessica Keena(Alex) and Sarah O'Bryan.
Services were Thursday, September 12 at 10 am at
Immaculate Conception Church 502 N. Fifth St, La
Grange with burial in Floydsburg Cemetery.
Visitation was 4-8pm Wednesday September
11 at the Oldham County Funeral Home, 706 W.
Jefferson St.
Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior
Project or American Lung Association.
