SHORT TRACT - Gerald L. "Jerry" Prentice, of 10147 Route 15, died Monday (July 23, 2013) in his home.
He was born Feb. 3, 1947, in Fillmore, a son of the late Clifford and Eula Worden Prentice.
Jerry was a graduate of Fillmore Central School, and prior to retiring, he owned and operated Prentice General Store in Short Tract.
Surviving are his brothers and sisters, Ethel (Herbert) Wagner of Angelica, Beatrice Scott of Houghton, Bernice Butler of Buffalo, Louis (Alice) Prentice of Randolph, Robert (Nancy) Prentice of Great Valley, Charles (Sandy) Prentice of Angelica, Shirley (Dean) Buchinger of Edgewater, Fla., and Garold Prentice of Hunt; 32 nieces and nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
A graveside service will be held in Short Tract Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee St., Fillmore.
