Yvette Matthews Obituary

CATTARAUGUS - Yvette S. Matthews, 43, of Leon Road passed away Sunday (April 28, 2013) at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born Sept. 2, 1969, in Salamanca, a daughter of the late Corinne Frentz Benson and Allen "Fonz" Benson, who survives.
Miss Matthews was an elementary school teacher, having taught in Pine Valley Central School and the Dunkirk City School District.
Besides her father, she is survived by a sister, Yvonne Benson of Cattaraugus; and her grandmother, Madelene Frentz of Cattaraugus.
She was predeceased by her grandfather, Almond Frentz; and her grandparents, Fred and Lila Benson Jr.
Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St., Little Valley, on Thursday (May 2, 2013) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday (May 3, 2013) at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Pascoe officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Park Cemetery, Cattaraugus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roswell Park or any animal shelter.

So saddened to hear of Yvette's passing. Although I only knew her as a girl...her sweet and gentle nature left a lasting impression on me, as I'm sure it did everyone that knew her. May those memories bring you comfort at this difficult time.

So sorry for your loss but we wish you peace and fond memories of her life. Yvette is finally free of all her pain and struggles. Just remember the mark
