CUBA - Michael P. Duffy, 68, of 5557 Smith Road passed away Monday (June 17, 2013) at Buffalo General Hospital following a brief illness.
Born Jan. 2, 1945, in Cuba, he was the son of Paul and Dorothy Robinson Duffy. He was married to Cindy Osgood.
Michael grew up in Friendship and graduated from Friendship Central School in 1963.
For many years, he was employed by Olean Wholesale Co. in Westons Mills, from which he retired. He worked as a fork truck operator. About 11 years ago, he moved to Cuba.
Michael enjoyed everything about muscle cars. He restored a 1957 Ford Fairlane and won trophies in area car shows. He also restored other cars. Golfing was another sport he enjoyed, along with watching golfing tournaments.
He attended Our Lady of Angels Church in Cuba. He was a member of the Cuba American Legion Post 655, VFW of Cuba, AMVETS of Cuba, Loyal Order of the Moose in Montour Falls and Ancient Order of Hibernians in America Inc.
Surviving are a son, Dean (Sara) Duffy of Marion; a daughter, Dawn (Ken) Pennypacker of Montour Falls; six grandchildren; a sister, Nancy (Vern) Barlow of Wellsville; and two nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Judy Leonard.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Treusdell Funeral Home, Friendship. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday (June 22, 2013). Deacon Frank Pasquale of Belmont will officiate, and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Belmont.

Wow, This hit me hard, I cut Mikes hair for many years. He was a great guy, Tammy and I will miss him greatly at the salon. This guy was so much fun to pick on. Glad I got to know you friend. Tia Johnson

Mike and I were the best of buddies growing up. We even tried to join the Nave together, but mike didn't make it at the time. I forgot what the reason was. I will always remember Mike as a dear friend. God bless him and take care of him.
