Patterson, Otis S.  
KILL BUCK - Otis S. Patterson, of Kill Buck, passed away Jan. 29, 2015, surrounded by his loving family at the home of his son in Clearwater, Fla. Born on March 10, 1929, in Salamanca, he was the son of the late Robert Patterson and Mildred Slade Patterson. On Sept. 19, 1953, he married Beverly L. Johnson, who survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. He was employed by the B&O Railroad; Fentier Village; the Salamanca Republican-Press; the Chessie System, Buffalo; and Pittsburgh Railroad. Upon retirement in 1990, Otis enjoyed winters skiing at Holiday Valley and summers boating at the Onoville Marina on the "Mark-Mi-Auf." He was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of the Kill Buck Volunteer Fire Department; Great Valley Lodge 1178, Shriners International; American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post 535; Veterans of Foreign Wars, John F. Ahrens Post 5296; and the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo. Survivors in addition to his wife are Robert L. and Leanne Pelusio Patterson of Clearwater; one sister, Roberta P. (William) Stone of Kill Buck; one step-granddaughter, Jamie McAdoo; two step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (April 25, 2015) at United Congregational Methodist Church, 134 Broad St., Salamanca. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
