FRANKLINVILLE - Dorothy C. Zuech, 84, of 8293 Route 98, passed peacefully in the presence of her children and grandchildren into God's arms. Born Aug. 27, 1931, in Franklinville, she was a daughter of Donald and Geraldine Ahrens Hinkley. On Feb. 13, 1954, she married Ferdinando M. "Fred" Zuech, who predeceased her May 21, 1996. Dorothy was a graduate of the Ten Broeck Academy Class of 1948. She was the founder and co-owner of Zuech Septic Service and Ischua Valley Estates. At one time, her love of antiques led her to own her own antique store. She enjoyed wintering in Jensen Beach, Fla. and at one time was the treasurer for Holiday Out Community in Florida. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are four children, Frederick J. "Fritz" (Patty) Zuech of Saluda, N.C., Marcia (Bill) Davis of Rock Hill, S.C., Julie Ralicki of Gettysburg, Pa., Beth (Jeff) Schneider of Charlotte, N.C., and Carmen (Paul) Holsta of Ashville; her longtime companion, Monte Olander of Franklinville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Patricia) Hinkley of Gowanda; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Ralicki and a sister, Ruth Eklum. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Babbitt and Easton Funeral Home, 7 N. Main St., Franklinville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday (Oct. 2, 2015) at St. Philomena Roman Catholic Church, 26 Plymouth Ave, Franklinville. The Rev. Dennis Vacco will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany. Memorials if desired, may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 331 Alberta Dr. #106, Buffalo, NY 14226.
