Alice E. Thompson(1932-2012)

LITTLE VALLEY - Alice E. Thompson, 80, of Thompson Street, passed away Sunday (Nov. 18, 2012) at her home.
Born April 3, 1932, in Marcellus, she was a daughter of the late Henry H. and Florence (Seymour) Brinkerhoff.
Mrs. Thompson was a typist for the Empire Search Co. in Little Valley for many years. She was a member and past president of the Little Valley Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by four sons, Douglas (Joan) Orr of Utah, Daniel (Donna) Orr of Michigan, David (Dawn) Orr of Colorado and Dennis (Paula) Orr of North Carolina; three daughters, Donna Belvees of Olean, Diane (Yona) Shemtov of Massachusetts and Darlene (David) White of Little Valley; a stepson, Donald Thompson of Little Valley; and 13 grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Vernon (Barb) Brinkerhoff of Marcellus; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Paul W. Orr in 1968; her second husband, Donald R. Thompson in 1995; a stepdaughter, Debra Thompson; and a brother, Clifford Brinkerhoff.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Howlett Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Little Valley Volunteer Fire Department or Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St., Little Valley, N.Y.
