ALLEGANY - Donald E. Bouch, 63, of 2058 Eldorado Drive passed away Thursday (Feb. 13, 2014) at Buffalo General Hospital in the loving presence of his family and friends.
Born Feb. 23, 1950, in Cuba, he was a son of Earl and Vianna Wilkins Bouch. On Feb. 27, 1971, in Olean, he married Christine Horning, who survives.
Mr. Bouch was a 1968 graduate of Portville Central School and graduated from the Rochester Business Institute. In 1972, he began his automotive career at the 10th Street Texaco station. Then in the mid-1970s, he moved to 13th and West State streets, where he took over the Keystone location and later established Bouch's Automotive. He operated the business until his retirement in 2012.
He was a car enthusiast his whole life and loved auto racing of any kind, especially NASCAR. In his earlier years after high school, he played the organ and sang in two bands, first The Baron's and later The Crystal Grapes.
Surviving besides his wife are three children, Christopher (Sara) Bouch of Allegany, and twins Michelle Bouch of Allegany and Matthew (Anja) Bouch of Chicago, Ill.; and two granddaughters, Sophia Bouch and Bella Bouch. He will be sadly missed by his family and his many close friends.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean, from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday (Feb. 17, 2014). Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2014) at the funeral home. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church, will officiate.
