Doris E. Bender(1934-2014)

FREWSBURG - Mrs. Doris E. Bender, 79, of Frewsburg, died late Monday (March 24, 2014) at WCA Hospital in Jamestown following a long illness.
Born on Nov. 27, 1934, in Salamanca, she was a daughter of the late Medford and Grace Arbuckle Whiteman. She was married to Morgan Kent Fenley, who predeceased her in 2013.
Mrs. Bender was a 1953 graduate of Rochester School for the Deaf in Rochester. She was employed at the Lawyer's Co-Op Publishing Co. in Rochester for more than 10 years.
Mrs. Bender was a member of the Southern Tier Deaf Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose in Jamestown.
She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her grandson.
Surviving are a son, Mr. Richard Fenley of Frewsburg; and a grandson, Thomas John Fenley of Springville.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Noel Buck and Geraldine Whiteman; and a brother, Thomas Whiteman.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Lonto, pastor of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca.
