LIMESTONE - Jane A. Montgomery, of 585 Parkside Drive, passed away peacefully Saturday (April 5, 2014), at the Bradford Ecumenical Home in Bradford, Pa., after a short illness.
Born Sept. 6, 1923, in Hornell, she was the daughter of Walter and Mildred Stephens Knight. In April 1942, she married Walter Montgomery, who predeceased her April 23, 2006.
Mrs. Montgomery enjoyed being a homemaker and was blessed with raising a family. She was a member of Creekside Chapel in Allegany.
Surviving are her four children, Michael (Candy) Montgomery of Texas, Linda (Paul) Priggon of Rochester, Robert Montgomery of Limestone, and Marsha Mascioni of Limestone; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; a sister Margaret Newton of Tampa, Fla.; four nephews and two nieces.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday (April 26, 2014), at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Adam Stein, pastor of Creekside Chapel, will officiate. Burial will be next to her husband in Allegany Cemetery.
