BELFAST - Judith A. Hawley, 76, of Ramsey Road, Belfast, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday (Nov. 3, 2012) at the Sisters Hospital in Buffalo.
Born April 26, 1936, in Buffalo, she was a daughter of Floyd and Phyllis Neuman Stoehr. On July 7, 1956, in South Wales, she married Edward Hawley, who survives.
Judith was a follower of Christ. She was also an artist who loved to paint. She worked at Earl's Restaurant in Chaffee, where she created the "Ten Gallon Hat" cinnamon roll. She was also a dairy farmer's wife for 55 years.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Clyde Hawley of Waterbury, Conn., Warren Hawley of Rushford, Jeffrey (Sandra) Hawley of Attica, Donna Hawley of Belfast, Dean (Pamela) Hawley of Maryville, Tenn., Wayne (Candice) Hawley of Rushford and Stephen (Anyda) Hawley of Warsaw; siblings, Gene Stoehr of Kuttawa, Ky., Linda Gates of Ashland City, Tenn., Barbara (Arthur) Hawley of Friendship, John (Faith) Stoehr of Brockton and Floyd "Buddy" (Debbie) Stoehr Jr. of West Falls; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marjorie Hodges.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday (Nov. 8, 2012) from 3 to 6 p.m. at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. Pastor Jeremy Gorham and Pastor Al Batt will officiate. Burial will be at Sardina Cemetery.
