Lewis Leslie Johnson

MORTON, Mich. - Lewis Leslie Johnson, loving and devoted husband and father, passed away Friday (June 14, 2013) at the age of 85 after a battle with cancer.
Lew was born in Olean, N.Y., and was a graduate of Portville High School. He served as the Morton Township clerk for 20 years, during which time he was instrumental in organizing the first-responder rescue service and the building of the township fire hall. His tenacious and witty nature will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rose Shadduck Johnson of Mecosta; sons, Conrad and Shawn; four grandchildren, Troy, Kelly Jo, Candace and Alyse; and eight great-grandchildren.
In accordance with his wishes there will not be a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Morton Township Fire and Rescue Fund.
