BOLIVAR - Linda L. Myers, of 1603 Salt Rising Road, passed away Tuesday (Nov. 12, 2013) in the Hart Comfort House, Wellsville, following a lengthy illness.
Born on Feb. 26, 1945, in Akron, Ohio, she was a daughter of Elmer and Roberta Unsworth Lansberry. On May 20, 1995, in Little Genesee, she married David L. Myers, who survives.
Linda was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps
. She was employed as a security guard with Burns Security Co. in Olean and was employed by the Sugar Creek Store in Olean and by Glints' Convenience Store in Bolivar.
She was a member of the Richburg Fireman's Auxiliary and the Richburg Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Barbara (Dan) Hults of Scio and Lester (Barbara) Baker Jr. of Obi; a sister, Judith Trowbridge of Kenmore, Ohio; two brothers, Richard Lansberry of Akron, Ohio, and Donald (Vickie) Lansberry of Tallmedge, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Cargill.
Friends may call Friday (Nov. 15, 2013) at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc., Bolivar, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at which time funeral and committal services will be held. The Rev. Leslie Chambers of the West Clarksville Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
