RICHMOND, Va. - LuCinda ""Cindy"" J. Bunk Blecha, of Richmond, passed away peacefully Monday (Nov. 5, 2012), surrounded by her loving family.
Cindy was born July 5, 1954, in Cuba, N.Y., a daughter of Joseph and Joan Botens Bunk. On July 17, 1999, she married Larry Blecha at her parent's home in Black Creek.
Cindy was a graduate of the former Cuba Central School, class of 1972.
Cindy was a life member of the Cuba VFW
Post 2721 and a charter member of Staff Sgt. Shawn M. Clemens Memorial AMVETS Post 1, also of Cuba. She enjoyed camping; planning family reunions; and spending quality time with her husband, who was her love, her daughters, who were her life, and her grandchildren, who were her inspiration.
Anyone who spent time with her knew how proud she was of her three daughters and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Nicole (Karl) Linderman of Virginia Beach, Yvonne (Mark) Fleischman of Alexandria and Janel (Joe) Chester of Tybee Island, Ga.; her four stepdaughters, Sara (Roy) Cobble of Wilmington, Del., Staci (Robert) Forgery of Chesapeake, Katlyn Blecha of Machias, N.Y., and Kelsi Blecha of Machias; her grandchildren, Ross and Katie Linderman, Brooke and Brayden Fleischman, Bryson Cobble and Mason Blecha; four sisters, Catherine (John) LaFever of Cuba, N.Y., Pamela (Jerry) Slocum of Camden, Del., Judith (Jerry) Enders of Black Creek, N.Y., and Terry (Wayne) Green of Black Creek; three brothers, Joseph (Anne) Bunk of Cuba, Larry Bunk of Cuba and Richard (Diane) Bunk of Cuba; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service Inc., 9 Bull St., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 13, 2012). Deacon Frank Pasquale will officiate.
Burial will be at noon Wednesday in Black Creek Cemetery, New Hudson, N.Y.
