WELLSVILLE – Marian Teresa "Tess" Tullar, 84, of 497 N. Main St., passed away in her home on Thursday (Nov. 7, 2013).
Teresa was born May 14, 1929, in Belmont, the daughter of Leo and Marian Jadwin Hunt. In August 1949, she married Bayard C. Tullar, who predeceased her in January 1990.
She had resided in Wellsville for the past nine years, having previously lived in Green Valley, Ariz., where she and her husband Bayard had retired to in 1980.
Teresa was a graduate of Belmont High School, class of 1947, attended D'Youville College in Buffalo, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Wellsville.
Teresa was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family. A special thanks is extended to the superb group of caregivers who lovingly attended to Mrs. Tullar's needs over the past eight years.
Surviving are sons, Bayard C. Tullar IV of Alma and Thomas E. (Rhonda) Tullar of Rogue River, Ore.; daughters, Gwynneth T. (Richard) Shear of Wellsville, and Patricia Tullar and Tamara Tullar both of Rogue River, Ore. Also surviving are grandchildren, Katie, Caleb, Teresa, Angie, Jake, Paige, Jennifer, Tiffany and April, as well as great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1990; a brother, Donald Hunt of Belmont; a grandson, Bayard C. Tullar IV; and an infant granddaughter, Jennifer Tullar.
There will be no visitation. A private family service celebrating her life is planned for a later date. Burial will be at the family plot in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville.
