RUSHFORD - Paul A. Yox, of 8508 Baldwin Hill Road, died Monday (Oct. 1, 2012) in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester
Born Sept. 25, 1940, in Buffalo, he was a son of the late Carl and Hazel Harmes Yox. He married Bonnie Lee Gorenflo, who survives.
He was the former owner of the Unicon Publications Inc., known as the Swap Sheet. He also had been assistant manager of M&T Bank and founding president of the Western New York Safari Club. He was a member of the Lyons Club, Rushford Volunteer Fire Department and Vigilant Fire Department in West Seneca. He was also founder of Baldwin Hill Maple Products.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Brian Paul Yox of Mesa, Ariz., Craig A. (Cindy) Yox of Leesburg, Fla., and Brandon L. Yox of Olean; and four grandchildren, Josh, Brittany, Brooke and Allen.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 6, 2012) at the Crocker Hill location, located at the dead end of Crocker Hill Road, off Route 49, just past the Rushford Conservation Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Town of Standards SPCA.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee St., Fillmore.
