BENT MOUNTAIN, Va. - Mr. Paul E. Sandberg, 65, formerly of Allegany, died peacefully Friday (April 25, 2014).
Paul was born Aug. 31, 1948, in Olean, and was a son of Carl E. and Lenora Ingland Sandberg.
Paul was a retired postmaster and former postal inspector serving with the U.S. Postal Service for more than 30 years. He was an avid turkey hunter and worked for the Quaker Boy Prostaff, as well as serving as president of his local chapter for the National Wild Turkey Federation for many years. Paul's smile and fun-loving spirit will be missed by his three daughters; nine grandchildren; his sister; his family; and many friends.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 am. Saturday (May 17, 2014), at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home 646 E. State St., Olean, to share memories and laughter. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. His cousin, Cristy Wise will officiate. Burial will be at the Allegany Cemetery.
