FILLMORE - Snowden R. Young, of Caneadea, passed away Wednesday (Oct. 10, 2012) at South Buffalo Mercy Hospital.
He was born Aug. 7, 1939, in Lower Mullenberg, Pa., a son of the late Charles and Ruth Grey Young. In 1958, in Buffalo, he married Arlene Rustay, who survives.
Mr. Young was a lifelong member of the NRA and an avid hunter. He was a former employee of Young Water Proofing Company in Buffalo.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Snowden (Carla) Young Jr. of Buffalo, Janet (Tony) Sorrento of Wales, Patricia (Jim) Rung of Alden, and Thomas (Lora) Young of Buffalo; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene (Robert) Mills of Tonawanda; four brothers, Dale (Beverly) Young of Fillmore, Donald (Chris) Young of Freedom, Richard (Patricia) Young of Tonawanda, and John (Mary) Young of Dunedin, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Charles Young Jr.
Family and friends may gather from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 13, 2012) and on Sunday (Oct. 14, 2012) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee St., Fillmore, where funeral services will be held on Monday (Oct. 15, 2012) at 11 a.m. Pastor Frank Grossman, pastor of the Caneadea Hills Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oramel Cemetery.
