Terri Lee (Johnson) Shaffer

OLEAN - Teri Lee Johnson Shaffer, 54, of Olean, passed away at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo after a short illness.
Born July 7, 1959, in Wellsville, she was a daughter of the late Skip and Sara Johnson.
In 1977, she graduated from Wellsville High School. She was a 1996 graduate of Alfred State College where she received an associate's degree in medical office administration.
A lifelong resident of Wellsville, she was employed by Wellsville Day Care Center, Pet Land and Baldwin Forest Products. In 1999, she relocated to Olean to further her career. She was employed by BOCES, the city of Olean, Allegany-Limestone High School, Associated Respiratory and Cattaraugus Council on Addiction and Recovery Services Inc.
Teri's greatest passion in life was spending time with her friends and family. Especially the younger ones. Nothing was more precious to her the sound of a child's laughter and a smile on their face. She also was an avid reader and finishing a book in a single day was a common occurrence.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her son, Harley Baldwin of Wellsville; a loving companion, David Spencer of Ischua; sisters, Connie Woodworth of Wellsville and Cindy Hostetter of Virginia Beach, Va.; brothers, Randy Johnson of Wellsville, Louie Johnson of Madison Heights, Va., and Greg Johnson of Wellsville; nine nephews; nine nieces; 20 grandnieces and nephews; and many friends and coworkers.
Teri Lee was predeceased by her parents, Skip in 1992 and Sara in 2011; and a sister, Norma Jean in 1959.
Family and close friends are invited to the interment ceremony at 1 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 8, 2013) at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wellsville, followed immediately by a memorial wake at the Duke Hose Co. in Wellsville.
