LITTLE VALLEY – Thelma N. Hatch, 85, of Ninth Street, passed away Wednesday (Jan. 8, 2014) at Absolut of Salamanca.
She was born Aug. 27, 1928, in Little Valley, the daughter of the late Sidney and Hazel (King) Worth. On March 21, 1947, she married Orvil S. Hatch who predeceased her April 4, 2011. Mrs. Hatch was an active member of the First Congregational Church and it's Women's Fellowship.
She is survived by a son, Larry Hatch of Little Valley; and a daughter, Anita (Walt) Fellows of Little Valley; four grandchildren, Janay, Josie, Justin (Staci) and Joseph; six great-grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, Jett, Savana, Ireland and Jaxon; a sister, Esther Franze of Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband of 64 years, she was predeceased by a son, Wayne Hatch; and a brother, Gorgon Worth.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday (Jan.13, 2014), at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 411 Rock City Street in Little Valley. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sue Fish officiating. Burial will be in Little Valley Rural Cemetery.
