OLEAN - William ""Bill"" A. Hale of 1951 W. Fall Road passed away Friday (Nov. 2, 2012) at Olean General Hospital after a long illness.
Born May 10, 1951, in Cuba, he was a son of Arthur and Luella Phillips Hale.
Mr. Hale loved playing basketball, volleyball and badminton. He also enjoyed listening to music.
Surviving are two sisters, Carol Hamilton of Cuba and Nancy (Pat) Kayes of Olean; a brother, Allen (Lydia) Hale of Rixford, Pa.; several nieces and nephews, Gerry (Steve) Howard of Cuba, Joyce (George Bearden) of Georgia, twins Jean (Floyd) Williams, Joan (Dan) Rugg of Gainsville, Ga. and Jackie (Mick) Stoddard of Rixford, Pa., Timothy (Kim) Wilson of Bradford, Pa., Jeffery (Robin) Wilson of Eldred, Pa., Arthur (Laurie) Howell of Hinsdale and Carrie Howell of Olean; nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; many cousins; and his friends at The ReHabilitation Center and Life Skills Program.
He was predeceased by his parents, Art Hale in 1975 and Luella Hale in 1976; and nephews, Paul E. Wilson in 2006 and Kenneth Hamilton in 2011.
Friends were received Friday (Nov. 9, 2012) at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, where funeral services were held. The Rev. Alan Yates officiated. Burial was at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
