ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - Charles M. Harding of Zephyrhills, passed away Monday (Oct. 21, 2013) due to complications from temporal arteritis and pneumonia.
Charles was born on Nov. 26, 1929. He married Alice Phetterplace on Dec. 29, 1951.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Moose and Elks clubs. He and his wife were owners of Harding's Store in Hume, N.Y., for many years and moved to Zephyrhills in 1993. He enjoyed golfing, square dancing, swimming and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Marjorie (Mark) Stein of Summerville, Ga.; three sons, John (Laura) Harding of Caneadea, N.Y., Fred (Rebecca) Harding of Leroy, N.Y., and Scott Harding of Wiscoy, N.Y.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank (Madge) Harding of Batavia, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Edwards of Franklin, Texas.
A burial service was held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
