BRADFORD, Pa. - James L. Weaver, 81, of 186 E. Main St., formerly of Rochester, passed away Saturday (Feb. 16, 2013) at the The Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born Sept. 29, 1931, in Bradford, he was a son of the late James F. and Anna L. Kline Weaver. He was a 1949 graduate of Bradford High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, served in Korea and was honorably discharged. He was formerly married to Leslie M. Daugherty Weaver, who survives.
He was employed at General Motors Corp. at the Delco Plant in Rochester for 33 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Cindy (Scott) Rinfrette of Limestone, N.Y.; two sons, James (Carrie) Weaver of Bradford and Phillip (Anna) Weaver of Bradford; nine sisters, Ethel Gould of Bradford, Pearl Sloan of Bradford, Norma Lee of Bradford, Shirley (William) Confer of Jamestown, N.Y., Mary Jane (William) Buchanan of Jacksonville, N.C., Delsie Wingard of Warren, Helen (Glenn) Miller of Lewis Run, Linda (James) Barrett of Lewis Run and Martha Bailey of Derrick City; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Adam L. Miller; a sister, Aletta Buchanan; and a brother, Jacob Weaver.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., East Main Street, Bradford, where funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 20, 2013) with the Rev. Robert Brest, pastor of the First Free Methodist Church, officiating. Military honors will be accorded after the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
