BELMONT - Carl E. Burdick, 77, of 5829 Feathers Creek Road, died Tuesday (Sept. 18, 2012) at his home.

Born Oct. 16, 1934, in Belmont, Carl was a son of Everits and Gladys (Brisbee) Burdick. On June 21, 1958, in Friendship, he married Doris Jean Jessup, who predeceased him on Dec. 20, 1995.
Carl was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was employed as a machinist at Dresser-Rand Corp. in Wellsville. He was also a member of the Herbert Delong American Legion Post 808 of Belmont and the Southern Tier Snow Riders of Almond.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel C. (Anne) Burdick and Joel A. (Maggie) Burdick; two daughters, Carla R. Pendelton and Wendy M. (Scott) Wessels; 10 grandchildren, Kyle, Adam, Alexander, Doran Jr., Heidi, Peter, Justin, Brittany, Madison and Morgan; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lena Chilson and Phyllis Wray; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Belmont.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery in Belmont.
