FRIENDSHIP - Edwin M. Clark, 67, of 4080 County Route 34, Friendship, passed away Tuesday (Aug. 27, 2013) at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on Aug. 9, 1946, in Johnsburg, he was a son of Lloyd and Mildred Becker Clark. On Nov. 6, 1965, in the Johnsburg Methodist Church he married the former Eleanor C. "Ellie" Boris, who survives.
Ed was a graduate of Attica Central School, class of 1965.
He retired from Friendship Dairies after 39 years, and then went to work as a custodian for Friendship Central School and retired after six years.
He was a member and past chief of the Friendship Fire Department, a life member of the Richburg Fire Department, a life member and past president of the Volunteer Firefighters Association of Allegany County, a life member of the Southwestern Fireman's Association, a member of the New York State Fireman's Association, and a member of the Friendship American Legion Post No. 1168.
Ed loved pig roasts, working alongside his wife in their catering business, and spending time with family.
Surviving in addition to his wife Ellie are a daughter, Dawn (Michael) Yard of Friendship, two sons, Patrick (Jodi) Clark and Dale (Holly) Clark, both of Friendship; his grandchildren, Heather, Maranda, Cole, Nick and Ryan; his great-grandchildren, Christopher and Elizabeth; stepgrandchildren, Brandi (Robert) Cummins, and Rachell (Ryan) Dieter; stepgreat-grandchildren, Clayton, Ty, Parker, Zoey, Kylie and Sean; two brothers, Lloyd (Jackie) Clark, Jr. of Varysburg and Joseph (Coralee) Clark of Ocala, Fla.; a sister, Mary Jane (Al) Snyder of East Aurora; and several nieces and nephews.
He also had a canine compainion Skipper.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Michael Clark and Harold Clark.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 31, 2013), at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Marc Chamberlain, pastor of the Genesis Bible Church, will officiate.
Members of the Friendship Fire Department and the Volunteer Firefighters Association of Allegany County will conduct a prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Memorials if desired may be made to the Friendship Fire Department or Richburg Fire Department.
