OLEAN - Evelyn M. Ford, formerly of 105 W. Green St., passed away Friday (May 3, 2013) at the Absolut of Allegany following an illness.

Evelyn was born Nov. 30, 1922, in Franklinville, and was a daughter of Harry and Flossie Williams Ford. She was a 1940 graduate of Ten Brock Academy. Evelyn worked at St. Francis Hospital, beginning in 1941 and retired in 1991 after 50 years as a dietary aide. Evelyn attended St. John's Lutheran Church and she loved to read.
Surviving are her sister, Bette E. Finger of Olean; a nephew, Edward Finger III; a niece, Christina Palmer; great nieces and nephews; and close friends Glenda (Kenneth) Pierce of Olean.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday (May 7, 2013) at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home Inc., with a funeral service and committal services at 11 a.m. The Rev. Daniel J. Burningrud, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Allegany, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Franklinville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Activities Group Department at the Absolut of Allegany, 2178 North Fifth Street, Allegany, NY 14706.
