OLEAN - Frances A. Dombeck of 226 E. Oak St., passed away Tuesday (June 11, 2013) at Olean General Hospital after a recent illness.

Born Dec. 22, 1930, in Olean, she was the daughter of Stanislaus and Josephine Orlowski Dombek.
Ms. Dombeck was a graduate of Olean High School and resided in Olean her entire life. She retired from American Olean Tile Co., where she had worked for 42 years. She was a longtime member of Transfiguration Church and its Rosary Society, as well as the Pulaski Club Women's Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Josephine "JoAnn" Dombeck of Olean; a grandniece, Nicole Dombek of Olean; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Gertrude Loskey, Theresa Fidurko and Mary Dombeck; five brothers, Joseph Dombek, John Dombek, Edward Dombeck, Leo Dombek and Raymond Dombek; and several nephews.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday (June 14, 2013) in the funeral home. The Rev. Edward Sheedy will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
