Isabelle Theroux Obituary
She was born Oct. 12, 1928, in Slatersville, R.I., a daughter of James and Margaret Owens Carroll. On May 18, 1957, in Slatersville, she married Robert R. Theroux, who survives.
Isabelle was raised in Slatersville and was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School in Providence, R.I. She and Robert raised their family in Connecticut and later moved to Wellsville in 1987.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville and had volunteered for a variety of organizations within the Wellsville community. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid tennis player. She had many hobbies, including sewing, baking, singing and making flower arrangements. She prayed the Rosary daily and was devoted to The Blessed Mother, St. Jude and St. Padre Pio.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Christine (Thomas) Sayles of Carmel, Ind., Pauline (David) DiSciacca of Enfield, Conn., and Claire (Dipen) Parekh of Amersham, U.K.; three grandchildren, Melanie, Michael and Matthew DiSciacca; a sister, Harriett Carroll of Slatersville; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (March 6, 2012) at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville. The Rosary will be recited at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday (March 7, 2012) at Immaculate Conception Church in Wellsville with the Rev. Sean DiMaria as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or the Jones Memorial Hospital Memorial Fund.

Dear Pauline and family,
We were saddened to hear of the passing of your mother. We were looking forward to meeting her at Melanie's wedding. Tatong was interested in a game of tennis during her next visit. Melanie has told us that she was playing a good game recently. She was able to enjoy life to the fullest, until her final days.
May she find peace with the Lord- our thoughts and prayers are with her and you now.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. We all have such great memories of growing up (or at least getting older) in Bloomfield, and remember Mrs. T. as a kind and treasured friend and neighbor. Although initially from different worlds, we shared much as we grew up with the Theroux girls and the others on Ellsworth Drive. Somewhere up there, Mom, Dad and Isabelle are catching up! Jeff Tager
