OLEAN - James "Jim" Campbell of 1673 Haskell Pkwy passed away Monday (Dec. 24, 2012) at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born April 20, 1933, at the Olean West Side Hospital, he was a son of the late James and Edna Sandstone Campbell.
Jim was a graduate of Olean High School, class of 1951. He was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Jim was very active in the OHS Alumni Association, coordinating his class of 1951 and was a board member. He also loved to paint. He painted mainly for his children and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret "Peggy"; his children, Linda (James) Eastman of Lewisberry, Pa., David (Diane) Campbell of Portville and Mark (Patricia) Campbell of Olean; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Barbara of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Donald Campbell.
There will be no visitation. Friends and relatives are invited to a Memorial Service Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Trinity United Methodist Church. Pastors Brad Chesbro and Jerry Piper will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, Olean Alumni Association or Home Care and Hospice.
