ARCADE - Jean C. Long Copeland, 84, of Allen Street, died Saturday (May 3, 2014), in the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw.

Born Sept. 16, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Ruby Haynes Long. On Aug. 19, 1947, in Eldred Pa., she married Francis B. Copeland, who preceded her in death.
Jean was a homemaker. She was also a member and past president of the Arcade Fireman's Auxiliary, and enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Diana Mayer of Arcade, John (Jackie) Copeland of Wethersfield, David (Robin) Copeland of Arcade, and Eleanor (Tom Matthews) Copeland of Florida; brothers, Charles (Joan) Long of Florida, and Donald (Barb) Long of Clarence; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and husband.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday (May 7, 2014), at the W. S. Davis Funeral Home Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (May 8, 2014), at the funeral home. The Rev. Joseph Gullo will officiate with burial at the Arcade Rural Cemetery.
