WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Keith Allan Gardner, 78, of Winter Haven passed away Wednesday (Oct. 16, 2013) at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital in Orlando, due to respiratory failure.
Born Nov. 14, 1934, in Allentown, N.Y., he moved to Dundee in 1994 from New York state. He served honorably for 20 years in the U.S Navy and then worked for ACME Electric Corp. after retiring from the service.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Haines City.
Keith is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan; a son, Jon Gardner of Riegelsville, Pa.; two daughters, Susan Gardner of Winter Haven and Sherry Slifer of Canton, Ohio; a brother, Lloyd Gardner of Lake Alfred; a sister, Janice Robinson of Rochester, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 20, 2013) at Faith Lutheran Church in Haines City. Military interment services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 22, 2013) at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations in his name be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 100 S. Eighth St., Haines City, FL 33844.
