BELMONT - Lucile M. Bliven, 88, of State Route 244, passed away on Monday (Oct. 8, 2012) at the Wellsville Manor Care Center.

She was born in the town of Ward on Feb. 7, 1924, to Emitt and Gladys Ward Cline. On March 1, 1949, in Wellsville, she married Paul Bliven, who predeceased her on June 8, 1997.
Lucile was a longtime resident of Belmont and graduated from Belmont High School. She worked for the former Kayser Glove Factory in Wellsville and later baby-sat for over 130 children at her home. She was fondly remembered by many of those children and last year was invited to a high school graduation for one of the last she had baby-sat for. She had a great love of her family, and she spent many hours with them picnicking out back of her home near the creek, as well as cooking and baking for them and especially playing cards with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Shawn (Lynn) Bliven of Franklinville, Dennis (Donna) Bliven of Belmont and Lintz (Karen) Bliven of Belmont; a daughter, Susan (Robert) Abbott of Troy, Pa.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Oliver (Doris) Cline of Belmont; and a sister, Bethel (Lloyd) McKee of Salunga, Pa.
She was predeceased by three brothers.
