ISCHUA - Michael J. Fields, 52, of 347 Johnson Hollow Road, Ischua, passed away unexpectedly Monday (Feb. 4, 2013) at home.

Born on April 12, 1960, in Cuba, he was a son of Howard W. and Delores Cooper Fields. On Jan. 5, 2013, in Cuba, he married the former Penny S. Boser, who survives.
Mr. Fields was a graduate of Belfast Central School, class of 1979.
He had worked for the New York State Department of Transportation as a Lowboy truck driver and heavy-equipment operator; Benjamin Truck Service of Limestone; and, until his passing, as a truck driver for West Side Sales of Cuba.
Mike was a member of Oramel Volunteer Fire Co., the Robert Howden American Legion Post 1504 Sons and the Shawn M. Clemens Memorial AmVets Post 1 Sons.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, watching NASCAR and watching football.
He is survived by his parents, Howard (Delores) Fields of Belfast; his wife, Penny S. Fields of Cuba; a son, Shawn (Kelly) Fields of Belfast; a daughter, Sarah Fields of Belfast; a stepson, Robert Jones of Olean; two stepdaughters, Michelle Boser of Cuba and Amanda Jones of Hinsdale; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Debra Mahon and Linda (Danny) King, both of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service Inc., 9 Bull St., Cuba, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (Feb. 8, 2013). The Rev. Jonathan D. Ward, pastor of North Park Wesleyan Church, will officiate.
