OLEAN - Nancy L. "Scooch" Chase, of 2710 Route 16 North, passed away Wednesday (Oct. 3, 2012) at the Olean General Hospital after a difficult illness.
Born March 29, 1955, in Olean, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Virginia Sharkey Pascucci. On Sept. 6, 1998, at Cuba Lake, she married Randy L. Chase, who survives.
Nancy was a graduate of Olean High School's class of 1973 and was a graduate of the Olean Business Institute.
She was employed at Kmart for 10 years, then worked at Time Warner Cable for the past 25 years.
Nancy was a member of St. John's Church in Olean.
Along with her husband, Randy, she is survived by a daughter, Brandi Pascucci of Rochester; three sisters, Carol A. (Eric) Johnson of Rochester, Paula M. (Jack) Seaward of Allegany and Carla (Jeff) Wakefield of Olean; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Donna Maine; and a brother, John Pascucci.
Family will receive friends today (Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012) from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday (Oct. 5, 2012) at 10 a.m. at St. John's Church with Father Edward Sheedy as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
A Scripture wake service will be held in the funeral home this evening.
