LITTLE GENESEE - William G. "Will" Smith, of 422 Sanford Hollow Road, Little Genesee, passed away Wednesday (April 24, 2013) at Buffalo General Hospital following a long illness.

Born March 5, 1963, in Olean, he was a son of John R. "Pepper" and Charlene Nenno Small. On May 14, 1983, in Allegany, he married Regina Sherlock, who survives. He was a graduate of the Bolivar Central School class of 1982 and had resided in Little Genesee for the past 28 years.
Bill worked at Mastel Ford for 18 years and was a self-employed mechanic until his illness. He was a member of the Shinglehouse American Legion Post 814 and an avid NASCAR fan. He drove Stock Car 06 on area race tracks for 20 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, of Little Genesee; a son, Dustin Small of Shinglehouse, Pa.; two daughters, Tiffany Small of Lockport and Samantha Small of Little Genesee; a grandson, Liam Small of Little Genesee; a sister, Shelley Small (Dennis) Peters of Ceres; a brother, Herman Burrows; several nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law, Wayne (Andrea) Sherlock, Mike Sherlock and Chris (Tracy) Sherlock; and his father-in-law, Wayne (Judy) Sherlock.
He was predeceased by his father; and a sister, Tina Small.
Family will receive friends at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 51 S. Main St., Portville, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday (April 29, 2013) from noon to 1 p.m., at which time funeral and committal services will be held in the funeral home. Pastor David Herne will officiate. Burial will be in Bowler Memorial Cemetery, Little Genesee.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
