BELFAST - Wilma T. Bedwell, 93, of 7372 Route 19 North, passed away unexpectedly Monday (Dec. 3, 2018) at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville.

Born March 6, 1925, in Pike, she was the daughter of Emmett and Olive Bowen Tisdale. On Nov. 24, 1943, in Macon, Ga., she married Charles P. Bedwell, who predeceased her March 5, 1996.

Wilma had resided most of her life in Belfast. She grew up in Bliss, and after moving to Attica she attended school there and graduated in 1942. Following Charles' service in the army, they moved to Fillmore, where they worked on a dairy farm and later bought a dairy farm outside of Belfast on Route 19, retiring in 1973.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Belfast Robert L. Howden American Legion Post 1504, and the Belfast Betterment Association.

Wilma enjoyed baking and contributed to community bake sales, attending bingo and playing cards. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends.
