SPRINGVILLE - Marlene E. Sullivan, 80, of Barnstead Drive, Springville, formerly of Collins, died Thursday (March 6, 2014), at her home.

Born Aug. 11, 1933, in Betula, Pa., she was a daughter of Albert and Bernice Martin Dennis. On Oct. 22, 1955, in Bolivar, she married Robert J. Sullivan, who preceded her in death.
Marlene was a secretary of the shipping and receiving department at Gowanda Electronics in Gowanda. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Gowanda and its altar and rosary society, and she was also a member of the St. Aloysius Church in Springville, where she had been part of the choir. She enjoyed music and her pets.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis and Kevin Sullivan, both of Hamburg; and a daughter, Colleen (James Horne) Sullivan of Schnectady.
Besides her parents and husband, Marlene was preceded by four step-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Wentworth; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014), at the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, 271 E. Main St., Springville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (March 15, 2014), at the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lawrence Cobel officiating.
