SALAMANCA - Mrs. Elizabeth Parker, 84, died Tuesday (April 8, 2014) at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Olean.

Born on Sept. 14, 1929, in Olean, she was a daughter of the late Paul And Catherine McGurn Halloran. She was married Nov. 30, 1957, in St. Patrick's Church, Salamanca, to Mr. Charles A. Parker Jr., who predeceased her June 2, 2004.
Mrs. Parker was employed as a receptionist at the former Fancher Furniture Co. and the former Bradner's department store.
She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, a member of the Quadays for more than 20 years, and a charter member of the Xi Beta Upsilon Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Salamanca American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post No. 535. She was also an election inspector for the Cattaraugus County Board of Elections for 35 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Ellen Bek of Salamanca, Mrs. Maureen (Bruce) Mack of Busti and Marcia Parker (Mike Madison) of Celoron; four grandsons, Justin Bek of Salamanca, Aaron Madison of Celoron, Matthew Mack of Busti and Kyle Mack of Busti; three sisters, Patricia Halloran of Salamanca, Catherine Lewis of Kane, Pa., and Mrs. Deanna (James) Eck of Kane; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Halloran; and a son-in-law, Lawrence Bek.
Memorial visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday (April 14, 2014), in the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, at which time memorial services will be held with Deacon Michael Anderson of Our Lady of Peace Parish officiating.
