OLEAN - Mike E. "Slim" Oyler, 47, died Wednesday afternoon (May 21, 2014) at Olean General Hospital following a long illness.

Born on Aug. 3, 1966, in Salamanca, he was a son of Charles Oyler of Kill Buck and the late Anita Oyler.
He had been employed as a service manager and salesman at Sound Track in Allegany for more than 20 years.
He was a member of the Elkdale Country Club and the Holy Cross Athletic Club. He enjoyed golf, baking and cooking.
Surviving besides his father are three brothers, Douglas Oyler of Great Valley, Charles (Mary Kay) Oyler of Little Valley and Timothy (Lora) Oyler of Little Valley; and a nephew, Drew Oyler of Little Valley.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (May 24, 2014) in Our Lady of Peace Parish with the Rev. David E. Tourville, of St. Mary of the Angels Church, officiating. Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley.
