OLEAN - Barbara A. Kosidlo, of 305 N. First St., passed away Monday (May 19, 2014) at the Absolut of Salamanca following a brief illness.

Barbara was born Oct. 14, 1940, in Olean, a daughter of Joseph W. and Celia R. Butinski Kosidlo. She graduated from Olean High School in 1958 and continued her education at Alfred State College, where she learned to be a medical transcriptionist. Barbara worked in various jobs including being a transcriptionist with Kelly Services in Buffalo. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cats and traveling.

Barbara is survived by two sisters, Carol C. Kosidlo of Olean and Deloris M. Green of Peabody, Mass.; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Joseph W. Kosidlo Jr. in 1970.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (May 28, 2014) at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. The Rev. Gregory J. Dobson will officiate. Burial will be at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
