OLEAN - Denise A. Auman of 27 Prospect St., Cuba, formerly of 133 ½ S. Fifth St., passed away Sunday (June 8, 2014) at home following a short illness.
Denise was born Dec. 28, 1953, in Olean, a daughter of Douglas and Hazel Thompson Belleisle. She was formerly married to Thomas Wayne Auman.
Denise was a 1972 graduate of Wilson High School. She worked at Tops from 1994 to 2006, primarily in the pharmacy department. In 2006, Denise went to work in the Olean General Hospital emergency department as a patient liaison. She stopped working in 2012 due to her illness.
Denise attended St. Mary of the Angels Church. She was a member of the Olean Elks and a former member of the Hinsdale Legion, Eagles and the Moose. Denise enjoyed many things including, reading, playing cards, bowling, darts, dancing, horseshoes, visiting and being with her family and friends.
Denise is survived by four children, Kimberly Sue (Rob) Foreman of Huggins, Mo.; Jennifer L. Auman of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Thomas G. (Briar) Auman of Cuba; and Kevin A. Auman of Olean; eight grandchildren, Rylee, Brianna, Brandon, Reagan, Christopher, Brooklyn, Destiny and Dreamalea; four siblings, Richard "Dick" (Sid) Boser of Olean, Ronald F. (Louise) Boser of Olean, Diane Belleisle of Florida and David Belleisle of Olean; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday (June 13, 2014.) Rev. David E. Tourville will officiate.
