BLACK CREEK - Elizabeth W. Cooper, 94, of 7893 Tibbetts Hill Road, passed away Friday (June 27, 2014) at the Absolut Care at Houghton following a lengthy illness.
Born on Jan. 10, 1920, in Canandaigua, she was a daughter of Joseph and Emily Van Develder Wyffles. On June 16, 1952, in Rochester, she married her husband of 62 years, Clarence W. Cooper, who survives.
Elizabeth was a graduate of St. Mary's School in Canandaigua. She retired from the Red Barn Restaurant, where she had been manager for many years.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Rochester. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and her family.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Kenneth Cooper of Naples; a daughter, Sandra (Rick) Fox of Salem, W.Va.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Wyffles of Ingelside; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Curt Van Orman; and three sisters, Helen Marsh, Pauline Potts and Isabel O'Hearn.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Black Creek Cemetery.
Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home and Memorial Service Inc., Cuba.
