SALAMANCA - Phillip T. Goodwill Jr., 61, died Tuesday (July 15, 2014) at his home following a long illness.

Born June 16, 1953, in Salamanca, he was the son of the late Phillip Sr. and Irene Hinman Goodwill. He was married July 9, 2011, to the former Carrie McDonald, who had been his companion for more than 15 years.
He had been employed for 33 years with the Norfolk Southern Railroad retiring as a foreman in 2007.
Mr. Goodwill enjoyed spending time with his family and tinkering in his garage. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and also enjoyed NASCAR.
Surviving, besides his wife, are three daughters, Dawn, Crystal and Nellie; four sons, Phillip, Tommy, Phillip "Tucker" and Andrew; nine step-children, David, Tammy, Roberta, Robert, Kathy, Billy, Timmy, John and James; six sisters, Sharon, Candy, Cindy, Darlene, Jane and Phyllis; two brothers, Timothy and Earl "Butch;" and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Maine; and a sister, Connie Sherlock.
Friends may call today (July 18, 2014) at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Michael Lonto of St. Mary's Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley.
