CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Marie A. Parker, 99, finished her earthly journey on Wednesday (Sept. 26, 2012).

Born March 7, 1913, she was a daughter of Robert Lewis Andrews and Myra Ethel Heath Andrews.
She graduated as salutatorian of Calumet High School in 1932 in Oklahoma.
Fred and Marie began their married life and welcomed their daughter, Carol Sue, while living in Moody Hollow, Pa. She retired from Alisa Textiles in Waxhaw, N.C., as a seamstress. She was a member of the Charleston Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Marie was a faithful servant and witness for her Lord Jesus Christ's love to her family and those who knew her or met her until the end of her time here. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8,9.
She is survived by daughter, Carol P. Turner of Charleston; sister, Sibyl Slavin of Oklahoma; granddaughters, Dawn (Don) Fields of Charleston and Janice C. Aikens (Derrick) of San Antonio; two grandsons, Tom Turner of Nevada and Joe (Donna) Turner of Charleston; great-grandchildren, Josh and Laura Turner of Nevada, Maxx (Amber) and Slater of Charleston and Brittany, Austin and Erickson of Texas; one great-great-grandchild, Kristofer; and several nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania and Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters, Eunice Miller, Juanita Baxter and Beatrice Berry; brothers, Odys, Lee, Doyle, Jack and R.V.; and his spouse, Norene.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday (Oct. 5, 2012) at the McKean Memorial Park chapel.
Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
