Robert Wachter Obituary

SALAMANCA - Robert J. Wachter, 49, of Wildwood Avenue, Salamanca, died Tuesday evening (March 26, 2013) at Olean General Hospital following a long illness.
Born April 2, 1963, in Olean, he was a son of the late Paul and Jane Janicki Wachter.
He attended St. Patrick's Parochial School and was a graduate of the Salamanca High School class of 1981. He attended JCC in Jamestown.
He was a member of the Holy Cross Club and was a former member of the Salamanca Moose Club. He enjoyed music and played percussion in several area bands, including the original 10,000 Maniacs.
He was an avid gemstone collector and made custom walking sticks.
Surviving are a sister, Susan (Bill) Witter of Portville; and two brothers, Thomas Wachter of Knoxville, Tenn., and Daniel Wachter of Olean.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, on Friday (March 29, 2013) from 12 to 1 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Patrick Melfi of Our Lady of Peace Parish officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca.
