GREAT VALLEY - The memorial service for Linda E. Davies has been changed to 5 p.m. Tuesday (July 9, 2013) at the Davies family homestead in Great Valley.

VERO BEACH, Fla. - Linda E. Davies, 63, formerly of Great Valley, N.Y., died Monday, June 10, 2013, at VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in Cattaraugus, N.Y., a daughter of Oliver and Mary Taylor Butler. She grew up in Little Valley, N.Y., and on Aug. 2, 1969, she married Robert L. Davies, who died Oct. 1, 2010.
Linda had a loving and nurturing nature and was caregiver of many children besides her own. She also spent years as a Girl Scout leader in Ellicottville, N.Y.
Her hobbies included reading, crocheting, putting puzzles together and instigating squirt-gun wars. She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her grandkids.
Survivors include her son, Robert Davies Jr. of Vero Beach; a daughter, Molly (Charles) Jacobs of Salamanca, N.Y.; five brothers, Ralph (Trudy) Butler of Olean, N.Y., David (DeDe) Butler of North Versailles, Pa., Harley Butler of Franklinville, N.Y., Donald (Teressa) Butler of Goosecreek, S.C., and Robert Butler of Hamburg, N.Y.; a sister, Mary (James) Bielat, of Fredonia, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Elizabeth (Craig) Blouvet of El Paso, Texas, Ashley Zarzecki of Salamanca, Jordan Davies of Vero Beach, David Davies and Makayla Davies of Ischua, N.Y., and Dennis Davies and Amber Davies of Great Valley.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wendel and Douglas Butler; and a sister, Leah Snow.
A memorial service will be held for friends and family at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at the Davies Family Homestead in Great Valley.
