Juanita A. Fanton (1926 - 2013)

ANDOVER - Juanita A. Fanton, of 32 Rochambeau Ave., Apt. 103, passed away Thursday (Nov. 28, 2013) shortly after arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, following an illness.

Juanita was born Feb. 17, 1926, in Loucks Mills, Pa., and was a daughter of Harold and Crystal Flynn Wright. She was with the love of her life, Lyle Cornelius, for over 47 years. He predeceased her in the late 1980s.

Juanita drove log trucks and milk trucks before going to work as a cook at Marathon Restaurant and also the Main Grill Restaurant in Wellsville. She also owned and operated the "Weespot Restaurant" in Wellsville for about five years in the late 1960s until the flood of 1972. She was a cook in the cafeteria at Alfred State College for about 20 years retiring in 1974. Juanita also taught many of her grandchildren how to drive and even taught them how to drive stock cars. She enjoyed country music and playing cards but most of all she enjoyed being with her family, whom she loved very much.

Surviving Juanita are a son, Coy E. Fanton of Wellsville; two daughters, Connie L. Morris of Wellsville and Sandra L. Ward of Andover; 10 grandsons; a granddaughter; many many great- and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Ruth) Wright of Little Marsh, Pa., and Dick Wright of Ellisburg, Pa.; and two sisters, Pauline (Clayton) Graves of Little Marsh, Pa., and Clara Lee Nailer of Nebraska.

Juanita was predeceased by a son, John Henry Fanton; and five siblings, Don and Bill Wright, Edna Seeley, Donita Empson and Barb Jocobs.

Friends will be received today (Nov. 30, 2013) at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, Wellsville, from 7 to 9 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Phil R. Barnes, pastor of the Andover Alliance Church, will officiate.
