Mildred's flowers and plants were always the purple ribbon winners at the East Pottawattamie County Fair. We will miss her green thumb. I recall her being active in the Roman Catholic Church in Avoca, Iowa as well, and that was the secret to her successful gardening.

We so enjoyed having Mildred as our neighbor in Avoca. We had many nice chats in the backyard over the years. She and Harold were wonderful, generous people!
