He is preceded in death by parents, Urilda and Carl D. Smith; his grandson, Justin C. Smith. Survived by his wife, Loretta A. Smith; children and spouses, Kathleen M. and Robert E. Cardwell, C. David and Melanie Smith, II., Jacqueline L. Smith and partner, Cathrine Colton, Christopher Juhlin and Shari Lynn Smith; grandchildren, Laura A. and Spencer C. Cardwell, Jessica Kanani Smith, April Renee Vevea and Adam Maston Vevea, Ethan J. and Logan J. Smith, Sophie L. Smith; brother, James G. Smith. The family wishes to thank Christopher J. Smith for all his service to our father at the end of his life.
